Details:Arts from the Heart, a local childhood music education program, will celebrate Get Baked’s 7th birthday with family music events, yearbook portrait sessions, and other fun activities for families on Sunday February 17 at 12:00pm.
Emily Woodward Tracy, owner of popular Windsor bakery Get Baked, is putting together a Get Baked yearbook and inviting friends and customers to be a part of it. “The plan is to compile the photos and release the yearbook at a party this summer, location to be determined. My friends at Arts from the Heart have offered to provide family music and activities so there will be something fun for kids to do as well,” Woodward Tracy said.
Arts from the Heart offers a family music class for children from birth to kindergarten called Music Together. This pioneering, research-based early childhood music program now has over 2000 locations in 40 countries. Arts from the Heart teacher Sarah Asmar said, “We are beyond sad that Get Baked is closing its doors, but we are very excited to be a small part of their 7 year birthday celebration. I have been able to witness the joy that Get Baked brings to families and children while enjoying a coffee and the best cranberry orange bran muffin in the world!”
“As a new business in town, we were hoping to partner with Get Baked to introduce ourselves to the Windsor community. But we are confident that Emily and Kevin will not be gone for long and we look forward to partnering with them again someday,” Asmar said.
There will be photo sessions and music and crafts at the bakery Feb. 9 from 9 a.m. to noon and Feb. 17 from noon to 2 p.m. People can also send pictures to Woodward Tracy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
