Details:Registration is now open for a class given by artist Ceil Rossi, offering instructions on how to make a decorated gourd. The class will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 10:30 to 3:30, at the Windsor Art Center Studios, 35 Central Street, Windsor. Students will use a cleaned gourd bowl 5" - 7" in diameter. Using a heat-controlled wood-burner they will stencil maple leaves onto the bowl. Metallic ink dyes will be used and students will learn how to blend the colors together to create the beautiful shimmering look of fall leaves. The interior of the bowl will be painted black. The bowl can be used for dried flowers, candy, or just a lovely centerpiece for the fall.
Class fees are $60 plus a $15 materials fee.
Class size is limited.
Students are asked to bring lunch, snack and a beverage.
Parking is available opposite the Windsor Station apartments on Mechanic Street as well as in the adjoining railroad parking lot.
