Uyi Osunde is in his second year as the proud Principal of Windsor High School. He has successfully led a transition year that resulted in multiple metrics moving forward, directly impacting student achievement, school climate and family engagement. Mr. Osunde brings a broad range of experience, having been a high school counselor in New London and East Hartford and serving as an Assistant Principal in Manchester. He holds a B.A. in Psychology, and M.Ed in Educational Psychology, an M.Ed in Educational Leadership and is currently working towards a doctoral degree [Ed.D] at the University of Connecticut.
Born in Nigeria, Mr. Osunde grew up in a family of educators. His mother worked with elementary aged students and his father held a Ph.D from The Ohio State University, and was a professor at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Osunde brings with him a deep-rooted passion for education and student success, with a goal of ensuring each student recognize his or her individual strengths and achieve their highest level of success.
