Event: Bridges of Vermont Trip-55&Up
Date:September 11th, 2018.
Time:7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Join us today to explore the Covered Bridges of Vermont. There are just over 100 authentic covered bridges in Vermont, giving the state the highest number of covered bridges per square mile in the United States. During the tour, make a stop at the Quechee Gorge Village, known as “Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon.” This village has evolved into one of the best shopping attractions in Vermont. The shops have Cabot Cheese, olive oils, unique Vermont gifts and antiques galore. We stop at Bentley’s Restaurant which was transformed from a florist shop, to an ice cream café, and ultimately to a full service restaurant operation. Lunch will be pre-selected: Choose from an Elm Street Wrap, the Woodstocker or a Pulled Pork Sandwich. All meals come with French fries, coffee, tea or soda. The day’s final stop before heading home is at the Vermont Country Store which opened in 1946. Items for sale include those that often cannot be purchased elsewhere. Be sure to bring your camera and please wear comfortable shoes. Depart at 7:00 AM; park in the North parking lot near the tennis courts; estimated return time: 7:15 PM. $92.00 per person. 860-285-1992 to sign up
