  • Many thanks, Jane! I appreciate your attention to personal queries! Your quick, personal response is another reason why we love to live in Windsor! Hope that your day goes well.
    Cynthia Redman - May 24, 2018
  • I would like to express my thanks to you, Paul and the Windsor Chamber Commerce for its commitment to American Red Cross Blood Services. On behalf of the patients we serve, we thank you for hosting your blood drive.

Your drive resulted in 26 presenting blood donors, and we were able to collect 23 pints of lifesaving blood. Each of those donations could help save up to 3 lives!

Every day someone somewhere needs blood. Without dedicated coordinators and sponsors like you serving as a vital link between the blood supply and those who need blood, the Red Cross could not carry out its lifesaving mission.

Again, thank you for your efforts in coordinating a successful blood drive!
Christine Auletta, American Red Cross - May 15, 2018
  • I was able to read at Poquonock School in my daughters classroom [during the Businesses Fueling Minds Through Books program]. I thank you for the awesome opportunity! The kids loved the story and were thrilled the class was able to keep the book. We read about Polly and her Duck costume. They loved the costume because we are so close to Halloween and we all loved it was based on a true story. It is always great to get children excited about reading. Again thank you for the opportunity and have a great weekend.
Christen Turcotte, PC Development Group - Oct 27, 2017
  • It was nice speaking with you today! I couldn’t believe how many people were at the expo today. You guys did a fantastic job!
Ricky, Renewals by Andersen - May 3, 2017
  • Many thanks to the Chamber of Commerce for orchestrating the Business Expo event today. It was well attended by the employees and the variety of vendors present was a good representation of what Windsor and surrounding areas has to offer. We had some good inquiries regarding our products and services and a very good mortgage lead for our originator.
Maureen Sullivan, Windsor Federal Savings - May 3, 2017
  • I want to thank Jane Garibay at the Chamber for all of her help with my relocation efforts. If she had not mentioned that my current location....The Carriage House, located right behind the Luddy House, was vacant, who knows where I would have ended up! Being a Windsor resident, it means a lot to be 'back home'. I absolutely love my new location, the trains, my view of the new apartments, my commute....but building a solid business relationship with the Chamber...is...priceless. I strongly recommend membership in the Chamber to all who may be considering. Certainly a powerful tool to add to your business plan. Thanks again Jane.
    Jan Porri - Jan's Sewing Room - Apr 13, 2017
  • The Small business Roundtable discussion has helped me validate what I'm doing right, open myself up to vulnerabilities, and make changes to bring my business current to the year. Steve Porcaro, 4-in-1 Coaching is a great moderator and keeps the group on task. It's amazing how motivated and inspired you can get in one lunch hour.
Tiffany Nunes, Nunes Quality Plumbing and Heating LLC - Sep 7, 2016
  • I want to Thank Jane and her team at the Windsor Chamber for the amazing events they have for the businesses in the Town of Windsor. I have done two of the Business Expos and the exposure has been amazing for the hotel. We are lucky to have Jane and the team who care so much about the place that we work and live in.
    Kim Burke-Hampton Inn Windsor - May 6, 2016
  • Hello Jane and as always, our entire staff at the HYATT house Hartford North/Windsor cannot thank you and your team at the Windsor Chamber of Commerce enough for the hard work and efforts. The Hartford Expo is always a wonderful year experience. How about next year?

By allowing that face to face involvement with our clients, not only strengths our relationship but also allows The Hartford busy executives and employees a fun yet informational event. From the initial communication to your chamber members, following up with specific instructions, a seamless arrival process and coordination of the on-site vendors created a win, win for all involved.

Until the next Expo ~ all the best !
Becca Mockalis, HYATT House - Apr 30, 2016
  • I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I enjoy the [What's Going On in] Windsor newsletter! The “What’s Going on in Windsor” e-newsletter is a great idea as well! I live in Windsor and never know what’s going on around town. Keep up the good work and know that this Windsor resident appreciates what you do!
    Bridgett - Mar 17, 2016
  • Love this format! [of the new What's Going On in Windsor email newsletter] Makes it so much easier to see what is going on and feels more exciting - thank you!
    Cindy Taplin - Mar 17, 2016
  • On behalf of our Corporate and School administrative team, I would like to thank you for honoring our school and our faculty by having your March 19th Chamber [Business After Hours] at Branford Hall Career Institute. Our school and faculty work diligently to provide opportunities for students, enabling them to succeed in business. Your Meet and Greet provided our administrative and teaching staff with the opportunity to get closer connected with members of the Windsor Community, which could lead toward new possibilities for our students in Windsor. Thank you once again and we wish you and the Chamber the very best.
Sheri Toner, Branford Hall - Mar 15, 2016
  • As an entrepreneur, I have benefitted greatly from my membership in the Windsor Chamber. Their staff goes above and beyond. The Windsor Chamber of Commerce is a great resource for business people in and around Windsor, as well as an important supporter of the community.
Paula Pierce, Hosting CT - Dec 9, 2015
  • Dear Jane,

I want to thank you for everything you did to help us find a new clinic space in Windsor. It was not easy to find a space that met all of our requirements. Knowing that you were on the lookout for a space for us made the process so much eaier for me. I can't thank you enough for all of your support over the past four years. We are so incredibly lucky to have a friend and advocate like you!

    With many thanks,
    Carrie

  • Just wanted to say 'thank you' for the successful promotion of the sidewalk sale today - we had three groups of locals visit because they had come to the Center for the sale. One family even walked here!
Christina Keyser Vida, Windsor HIstorical Society - Sep 28, 2015
  • Thanks for putting this [Business Expo at The Hartford] together it was awesome!
    Kimberly Bergeron Burke - Apr 21, 2015
  • Spent the morning reading to kindergarten children as part of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce's Business Fueling Minds program. I love this event and so honored to participate in it every year.
    Rebekah Royer Poppel - Apr 16, 2015
  • Just wanted to thank the Chamber for a very informative meeting today. We have at least three (probably more) clients who will benefit from what I learned in that meeting. Thank you for coordinating the discussion on energy incentives and the programs available [for commercial property].
    Rebekah Royer-Poppel, Law Office of Cori-Lynn S. Webber, LLC - Jun 12, 2014
  • I just want to take a moment to thank Jane for all she does. As a new member with the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, Jane has provided me with so much important information about resources, partners and facts about doing business in Windsor and the surrounding area.

Also, the business-to-business morning meetings are an excellent way to get to know other business owners in the community and start networking.

Thank you, Windsor Chamber of Commerce!
Jenny Castle Human Resources Consulting - Feb 27, 2014
  • Dear Paula and Jane. You worked so tirelessly and fully committed on the tea fair. Be proud. You were amazing. Some things just run a course and then it is time for something new. All good. It was such a pleasure to work with you on it. Best wishes for everything you work on, I know it will be good for your town - you are so good and care about it so much. My best to Becca when you talk to her as well.
Gail Gastelu, The Tea House Times - Feb 10, 2014
  • I just wanted to give kudos to Mary's Place, and the Windsor Chamber Of Commerce, for the great Business After Hours event, on January 15, 2014.

Mary's Place is dear to our hearts, so it was great to see this event being held there, but with the great turn out, I also made several business contacts that evening.

    Keep up the great work.
Eric Lazarus, Best In Show Pet Spa - Jan 23, 2014
  • I've attended a couple of the monthly meetings at the Chamber and it amazes me how ALL the local Windsor businesses come together to give back to their community with warmth and dedication to continue to see someone smile. Thanks for all you do for the community!
    Tanya Oliveira, Kimberly Hall South/North - Jan 8, 2014
  • From day one of my Chamber membership I started networking, meeting people and getting new business from my efforts. Over the years I have taken advantage of many of the Chamber's promotional programs including the Sidewalk Sale, Business Intro Video, What's Going on in Windsor email newsletter and Passport program, as well as the Windsor Business Connections and Business After Hours networking events. The Chamber has been a good resource for information and a source of referrals.
Paula Pierce, Hosting Connecticut LLC - Dec 17, 2013
  • I would like to give a big shout out to Jane from the Chamber. Jane makes sure that the towns people know what is going on all the time. Giving anyone a chance to attend a function or not to attend. Jane is very knowable about the businesses in Town and when called she can tell you who has what you are looking for or where you can find it. Jane juggles many schedules to keep things rolling and I am appreciative for all that she does and continues to do. Keep up the good work Jane...you're great.
Linda Lee Boucher, LCN Kitchen and Bath, LLC - Dec 11, 2013
  • The Windsor Education Foundation board expresses its sincere appreciation to the Windsor Chamber of Commerce for allowing WEF to participate as a beneficiary of the Windsor Chamber Cares annual benefit auction. We hope to make a difference in the Windsor Public Schools and we graciously accept funds from the auction for that purpose.
    Richard Vassallo, WEF - Apr 24, 2013
  • Thank you. I had a great time [at Businesses Fueling Minds], and I hope my kids did, too. I could have stayed all day talking with them about books and biographies (their recent learning unit) and such. The teacher finally stood up to indicate that it was time for me to get lost I think these kids are far more sophisticated than I was at their age (first grade). They are so sweet and so eager. They have every right to expect that we adults in the community will nurture them in any way that we can.

Feel free to schedule other similar events or just have us volunteer at odd times throughout the year.
    Bill Harris - Apr 2, 2013
  • Thank you for doing this [Businesses Fueling Minds Through Books]! It was great! The book, Nubs, was outstanding --- both to me, the teacher and the children (a little weepy but ending beautifully).
    Ruth Jefferis - Mar 28, 2013
  • I really enjoyed the reading event yesterday [Businesses Fueling Minds]. You can definitely put me on the list for next year. Thank you for organizing it.
    Heidrun Toben - Mar 27, 2013
  • Kudos to you for the organization of the reading event this morning [Businesses Fueling Minds Through Books].

I can well appreciate ALL the work that went into the planning of the program.

    I loved my kindergarten students . . . . so precious!
    Valerie Gange - Mar 25, 2013
  • Thank You! I have attached the New Year's event. This is a great service that you offer to your members [allowing members to post their events, news, job openings and sales on the Chamber website], thank you.
    Kasey Woolam, Maneeley's Banquet & Catering - Dec 10, 2012
  • I think having the Chamber website for advertising is better. We can advertise there for less and the weekly email of "What's Going On in Windsor?" drew in more for me than [name of venue removed].
Olivia Harvey, Tastefully Simple - May 24, 2012
  • I just got a new client from the Chamber Holiday Specials email. Thanks for including me on it!!!

    Happy Holidays,

  • I want to send a big "THANK YOU" to everyone who worked so hard to make Sunday's [Mother-Daughter Tea Party] event special. As you know my Granddaughter has special dietary needs and Carol at Bart's Beanery did a great job to accommodate Maia. It was a fun event. We loved the Manners story that Ann Walsh read. The raffle for the American Girl doll was the icing on the cake when Maia's number was called. We look forward to next year's Tea Party!
    Donna - Dec 6, 2011
  • I just wanted to tell you again that the [Windsor Wade & Tea Fair Mother-Daughter] Tea was awesome!!! My daughter and granddaughter had a great time. You all did a wonderful job everything looked nice, the food was good and Kinah loved the story that Ann Walsh read.

    Thanks again!!

  • Dear Jane,
On behalf of our entire team we are so honored to have participated in this fabulous fund raiser [Windsor Feud]. We had the best time, never have laughed so hard and had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. For us - to be able to take part in an event that is so well organized and supported by so many members of the chamber - was a breath of fresh air.

You put the fun in fundraising! See you in 2007
Karen, MaryAnn, Eileen & Sue, Spring Street Service Sisters - Jul 27, 2011
  • I just wanted to take a minute after all this time to tell you how much I appreciate the "What's Going on in Windsor" email newsletter. It really keeps me in the loop and I have gone to events I probably would have forgotten about if I hadn't been reminded by your update.
    Barbara Tolve-Silver, Windsor Public Library - Jul 27, 2011
  • Thank you for a great time [at Windsor Feud] for a great cause. See you next year as long as we can face off against Enita Jubrey once more.

  • "While attending the 2011 Windsor Chamber of Commerce Annual Auction, my ticket was pulled in the final drawing - $200.00 in Windsor Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificates. Being a busy career gal, wife and mother of two, in this economy I am always looking to save money at home. Where can you cut the most? Your grocery bill.

So my husband and I went one Sunday to our local Geisslers Grocery store in downtown Windsor on Broad Street. We 1st stopped by the service desk to just double check if this program really works. No surprise there, YES - they accept the certificates. Little did they know, Kevin and I went directly to the meat department, filling up our entire carriage with chicken, pork, beef, ham etc.

Regardless of the funny looks, we went about with our shopping experience ending in the check out line. Our sales clerk and on-shift supervisor knew just what to do. Each certificate was processed through their register, which I then signed for and off and away we went home to pack our freezer full of Geissler's fine meats.

Great job Windsor Chamber of Commerce and Great job Geissler's" !!
    Becca K. Mockalis - Jul 22, 2011
  • Thanks so much for putting on the (Windsor Wade) fair again this year. You did a great job in a short amount of time and I know that everyone was very thankful. I had a great time. Thanks again.

  • Thank you for your newsy and information 'What's Going On In Windsor" throughout the year. My daughter and son live out of town now, but receive a copy as well as some of their high school friends. Good way to stay connected . I've partaken of many events and would only have known about them from your newsletter. Happy Holidays and thank you again.

  • I just wanted to drop you a note regarding the "First Thursday" events that we have been participating in with the Chamber. As you might imagine our business slows down a bit over the winter, but on the "First Thursday" nights we have seen, on average, a 75% increase in business and traffic. I originally thought it might not be as drastic an improvement as the weather got warmer, but I was greatly mistaken, evidenced by the numbers we showed on April 1!

Please accept my thanks as a grateful business owner for this program and plan to be a continuing participant in this event

  • I just wanted to send you and the Chamber team a sincere thank you for arranging such a great time Friday evening at the Windsor Chamber annual meeting. The theme was fantastic, the decorations were great, the food was great, and I really enjoyed myself.

It was truly amazing to see such a motivated and friendly community of business people come together like that. Windsor certainly has an awesome community that appears to be growing all the time. As you know, I'm not a local person, however the whole feel of the event strongly reminded me of my small hometown in Ipswich, MA- and I haven't had that sense anywhere else since moving to Connecticut in 2008.

  • Who would have thought that reading a book in a fourth grade class could be so rewarding and so much fun! The time I spent with the students was the highlight of my week. The kids were attentive, enthusiastic and engaged. They asked and answered questions enthusiastically and with good classroom manners. We all thoroughly enjoyed the story and I felt they learned valuable lessons from the book. I also enjoyed sharing my own life experience as it related to the story and felt they listened with sincere interest. Who could ask for anything more?!

  • I am so happy with the way things turned out for me yesterday [at the Aetna Business Expo]. I had a steady flow of people coming to my table, I received 47 contacts from the raffle, 3 people booked a show and there were others who are interested in placing an order...and there were a few people who took information on the fundraiser opportunity because they knew of groups that needed fundraisers!

Everything was so well organized and you made the unloading and loading process a breeze.

You do such great work year round; the help and exposure that you give to the businesses in town I'm sure is unmatched.

Especially given that I have a home based business, it's hard to get my name out there, but I want very much to do so and be successful, so I really appreciate all of the opportunities I have had to be visible through the Windsor Chamber of Commerce.

I'm looking forward to the event in October, and I know that the population is different, but I'll just bring different items that may be of interest to the audience. It's really about the exposure for me. So it's all good.

    You're awesome!!!

  • I was here for 14 days and ... I thought the Passport was a great idea. It was fun visiting the local shops and restaurants and I thought the people of Windsor were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Enclosed is my completed passport. Please enter me into the drawing for the Kindle.
