CT CARES Small Business Grants

At a news conference at Windsor Chamber member Lilly's Soul Food, Governor Lamont announced the creation of a new program to support Connecticut's small businesses. The Connecticut CARES Small Business Grant Program has been funded to award grants of $5,000 to certain Connecticut businesses and nonprofits. The program is still open to new applicants. Click here to access the application. We encourage you to apply NOW if you are eligible.

When applying, have the following information ready:
  • Social Security number
  • Federal EIN number
  • State TAX ID number
  • Bank Routing Number
  • Amount of eligible expenses from March-December 2020 (payroll, rent, utilities, inventory, purchase of machinery or equipment, or cost of compliance with Covid-19 reopening regulations)
The CT Department of Economic and Community Development continues to hold office hours to answer your questions on this program every day this week and over the weekend. If you have any questions about the program and what you'll need to apply, just click here to see their office hours schedule and connect to a DECD representative. The office hours links are on the bottom of the page. And of course, you can always call the Chamber for assistance at 860-688-5165.
